About Me

I trained at the Animal Care College and am now completing an FdSc in Canine Behaviour and Training at Bishop Burton College in collaroration with Hull University.

I have also worked in the field of rescue dogs for many years, which is a very challenging and fascinating field. For the last 18months I have been working very closely with Kerry Greyhound Connection, a charity that works in rehoming Irish greyhounds in England. I have been involved in supporting these greyhounds once placed in foster space and their forever homes.

I have owned my own dogs for many years and began to feel that there must be a better way of teaching dogs than the old style 'show em who is boss' techniques, that were used in the past. I embarked on training dogs in a totally positive manner. That is to say that I do not believe in using harsh methods but instead add praise and reward when the dog behaves in a way that we want.

I advocate the use of 'clicker training' which is a style of training used initially in Sea World Florida teaching marine mammals . This form of training allows the animal to be involved in the training process, and when the handler has understood the principals of clicker training the sky is the limit, ever wondered how they get dogs on the T.V. to do all those tricks?

I understand the importance of puppyhood and offer small and friendly puppy parties, come along for a cup of tea and enjoy the puppy playtime! More formal puppy classes are also offered. Please contact for more details.

I offer clicker classes as well as 6 week one to one sessions in which I can teach the basics of clicker training. Please ask for details.

Basic obedience classes and one to ones are also offered. This includes recall training and covers all the sits downs and stays!
